How to Apply to Main Campus as a Non-Degree Seeking Student
Non-Degree Seeking students are defined as students who are not seeking a degree from the University of Arizona.
This includes exchange students and CESL University Track participants.
When You Should Apply
Fall Semester Application Dates
Fall Semester begins in August.
- Application opens: August 1, one year prior to the start of the term.
- Application deadline: May 1
Spring Semester Application Dates
Spring Semester begins in January.
- Application opens: April 1, nine months prior to the start of the term.
- Application deadline: November 1
Please note: If any of the above deadlines fall on a Saturday or Sunday, applications will be accepted through the following Monday.
What You Need to Provide

- You can apply for non-degree seeking admission using our Future Wildcat Application Portal.
- $85 Application fee
- Transcripts
- Proof of English Proficiency
- If your primary language is not English or you attended school in a non-English speaking country, regardless of citizenship, you will be required to provide proof of English Proficiency.
What to Expect
- The online application takes 30-45 minutes to complete.
- Within two days of submitting your application, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to check your application status online using the Future Wildcat portal.
- At least once a week be sure to check the email account you used to apply for updates about your admission status, which may require you to take some action.
- Once your application is complete, you’ll typically be notified of your admission decision within 2 weeks.
- Admission decisions are announced by email.
- Be sure to check your email regularly after you’ve been admitted, so you can take the next steps for enrollment. Responding to requests in a timely manner will facilitate your smooth transition into courses at the University of Arizona.
