Congratulations on your admission to the University of Arizona! To join us on our main campus, you will need to complete the following steps:

Create your NetID+ login and password

Your NetID+ login is what you will use to access your university email account and other systems on-campus. Before you complete any additional enrollment action items, you’ll need your NetID+. Please wait 48 hours before accessing any university systems.

Step 2

Request Your I-20

To get started, visit MyGlobal and login with your NetID+ login and password. The following documents are required to request your I-20:

  • Passport biographical page.
  • Funding documents such as bank statements from checking or savings accounts or loan approval documents. Please review the cost of attendance for the required amount of funding.
  • Your Declaration of Support, which outlines funding from family or friends.
  • If you are transferring your F-1 SEVIS record from another school in the United States, please provide the name and email address of the designated school official (DSO) at the institution you attended prior to the University of Arizona.

Once your request is processed, your I-20 will be sent to you.

Complete Your Next Steps Center Action Items

The Next Steps Center will help you stay on-track toward enrolling at the University of Arizona. You’ll need to complete the following tasks before you can register for classes:

  • Pay your $425 enrollment fee
  • Register for Global Orientation
  • Review placement information for math and writing courses
  • Upload your immunization records to campus health
  • Apply for on-campus housing, if you plan to live on-campus

You’ll access Next Steps Center with your NetID+ login and password and will need to check back often for new action items to complete.

Prepare for Your Arrival

Please review the pre-arrival information on the International Student Services’s (ISS) website. We also encourage you to check your University of Arizona email regularly prior to the start of classes. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Enrollment Counselor, or schedule an appointment with an ISS Advisor.

Complete Your D2L Orientation Course

D2L is the online platform through which you will access your UArizona coursework. It takes some time and practice to learn how to use D2L and we want you to feel prepared for the start of classes.

  • Instructions for how to register for this self-paced orientation course can be found here: https://help.d2l.arizona.edu/content/student-orientation-course
  • Once you have completed the self-registration process, the D2L course site will be listed on your D2L My Home screen under My Courses. Click on the image (tile) to enter the course.
  • Complete each module including each module quiz. After successfully completing each quiz with at least 80% accuracy, you will earn a Certificate of Completion.

Connect with the Global Direct Online Student Success Team

Once you complete your English placement survey, math placement test, and the D2L New Student Orientation, it’s time to enroll in classes! Using your University of Arizona CatMail address, send an email to the Global Direct Team at globaldirect@arizona.edu. The Global Academic Advisor will then reach out to you and provide further instructions.
